Marad donates survival suits to KNRM Urk
We handed over three new survival suits to the volunteer crew of KNRM station Urk, supporting the search and rescue work that keeps our own local waters safe.
Marad has donated three new survival suits to KNRM Urk, the volunteer crew that carries out search and rescue operations on the waters around our home port. The suits went straight into the station's kit, ready for the crew's next call-out.
KNRM, the Koninklijke Nederlandse Redding Maatschappij, is the Dutch sea rescue institution, run entirely by volunteers who are on call around the clock, in all weather. Urk has a long fishing and maritime history, and many of the people who crew the rescue boat also work in the industry Marad builds software for, so this felt like an easy way to give something back to our own community.
We're proud to support the people who keep our local waters safe, and we'll keep looking for ways to back the maritime community around us, on the water and off it.
